Our parish of St. Josephina Bakhita was established in 2003, initially known as the chapel of St. Josephina Bakhita, with a church building made of metal from the ground up. In 2005, we began constructing a modern main church; however, the construction was halted for 16 years and resumed in 2021 under Father Fabiani Ngeleja, and this year we will complete its construction.

In 2011, we built the church where we currently worship, moving from the metal church, under the leadership of Father Fransis Mtema, who is now the parish priest of Kirumba.

In 2016, His Excellency Archbishop Yuda Thadeusi Ruwaichi declared it a designated parish. After this declaration, we began the construction of a priests' residence, which has since been completed.

On September 19, 2020, His Excellency Archbishop Renatus Leonard Nkwande declared it a parish and appointed Father Fabiani Ngeleja as the parish priest of St. Josephina Bakhita Nyamanoro. Today, September 19, 2024, our parish celebrates its fourth anniversary.

After being announced as the parish priest, Father Fabiani Ngeleja reported to the parish on October 1, 2020, and began his ministry in our parish.

Let us remember that our parish was declared on September 19, 2019, with 26 communities and only four (4) neighborhoods. Currently, our parish has a total of eleven (11) neighborhoods, along with 38 communities and one chapel of St. Thomas of Akino Kilimahewa.
