The Archdiocese of Mwanza (in Latin, "Archidioecesis Mvanzaënsis") is one of the 34 dioceses of the Catholic Church in Tanzania. Mwanza Metropolitan with the following dioceses: Mwanza, Bukoba, Bunda, Geita, Kayanga, Musoma, Rulenge-Ngara, and Shinyanga.

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan October 14, 2024 participated in the memorial Holy Mass of the Tanzania first president Mwl. Julius Kambarage Nyerere, held in the St. Francis Xavier Nyakahoja, Mwanza.
